Who are Glenn Clarke and George Gehm?
Glenn Clarke and George Gehm met whilst studying at Brunel University London. With George studying Theatre and Glenn studying Music Composition, they quickly discovered that the thing that they shared was a love of Musical Theatre. They were introduced by a lecturer when George was writing a musical as part of a dissertation group which needed a piano accompaniment. Like many writing partnerships, this university show was where Glenn and George started to discover their writing process and from there a friendship and a creative partnership grew. Fast forward a few years and it was time to return the favour. Glenn was writing his dissertation and asked George to write lyrics for a new musical which they took to the Camden Fringe Festival after its university run.
Post university, George began studying an MA in Musical theatre at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, whilst Glenn explored different mediums within the arts such as composing for media, arranging scores for collaborative projects and exploring video creation in his role as an IT and AV Engineer. Alongside their individual development, the pair continued to work together and started new projects which included stand alone songs and the beginning of The Edinburgh Fringe 2023 sell-out show The Extras Strike Back.

Glenn is a freelance composer and arranger but still loves his other job working in IT. He enjoys working with people and relishes opportunities to collaborate and work with others. An avid West Ham United fan, he, unfortunately, spends most weekends bitterly disappointed but looks forward to a Premier League title some time in the next 1000 years. He is addicted to the joy music brings him and enjoys playing in bands and going to gigs, striving to attend and experience as many live performances as possible.

George currently works as a barman at the Park Theatre in Finsbury park. He loves hospitality more than life, so much so, his love for it is second only to his love of theatre. He is also known to be quite sarcastic. In his spare time he enjoys yoga and is hopeful for the day that his heels touch the mat in downward dog. When the mood takes him, he loves reading anything from fantasy and Greek mythology, to an atmospheric queer love story set in the Italian Riviera or the Trojan War.
